Turning passion into purpose
Turning Passion into Purpose: The UnsaidTalks Journey…
When I graduated from Thapar University, I started a passion project called UnsaidTalks with one simple goal: to help my juniors navigate their way into the industry.
From my college days, I’ve always had a dream to build something of my own. While I tried and faced many failures in pursuing that dream, one thing remained constant— UnsaidTalks.com
For the first few years, our focus was singular: capturing and sharing interview experiences of freshers who cracked placements. Through our Campus Ambassador Program, called the UnsaidTalks Interviewer Program (UIP), 2nd- and 3rd-year students met their seniors to learn from their stories of success. This initiative built a repository of 1,100+ interview experiences, freely available on our website. During placement seasons, our site attracted 25k+ visitors, validating the value we created. (Attached images talking about the impact of our free initiative)
In 2020, we took our first big step forward—a two-week mentorship program. Thanks to the support of like-minded individuals, mentors (whom I’ve tagged in a previous post), and my wife, Kajol (who joined UnsaidTalks last year), our curriculum evolved, program improved and success stories multiplied in last 4 years.
Turning 30 last year felt pivotal. My dream of building my own company grew stronger, and I realized that UnsaidTalks was what I wanted to dedicate the next decade of my life to. But the fear of leaving a fulfilling, growth-oriented job at EasyInsights held me back.
Then, something magical happened. After seeing Amarjeet Singh write about the very problem we aim to solve at UnsaidTalks, I reached out to him on LinkedIn for feedback. That one conversation turned into a meeting, and eventually, Amarjeet became the angel investor who gave me the courage to take the leap into UnsaidTalks full-time.
I’m deeply grateful to the mentors who stood by UnsaidTalks with the pure intent to help budding engineers. A special thanks to Amarjeet—your belief in me and this vision means the world. With your leadership in our funding round, many of my close friends, relatives, and long-time supporters of UnsaidTalks joined as angel investors: Rohan, Akshit, Gurmeet, Gifty, Naman, Tarundeep, Japnit, Shubhankar, Rajesh, Shubham and many more…
The overwhelming love and trust from this close-knit circle have been humbling. To everyone who has shown belief in me: thank you. I’m committed to making UnsaidTalks a leading force in India’s education and hiring space. Together, we’re building something incredible.
Kudos to every intern and team member who worked with UnsaidTalks. Your contribution is immensely valued, and we’ll always be here for you. Feel free to reach out, no matter what stage of your career you’re in!
Lastly, a special thanks to Jatin, whose story deserves its own post (for some other day). Grateful to have you on this journey—let’s make it big!
