“It was your dream since college”

Yesterday, I was catching up with my 11th/12th coaching friend Navneet Gulati.

We studied together in Vidyamandir Classes during our 11th & 12th, chasing the same IIT dream.

Life took us in different directions after that. We’d speak once in a while, but recently reconnected after many years.

In the middle of our conversation, he sent me this message: “But I love it man. It was your dream since college.”

I paused for a minute.

It’s strange how someone else can remember your dream better than you do. As founders, we’re so busy worrying about the next milestone, the next hire, the next month’s revenue, the next launch… that we rarely stop and realise we’re already living a dream that our younger self once imagined.

I always wanted to build something of my own. It took way longer than I thought.
There were moments when I questioned whether it would ever happen. But looking back today… I realise we’re on the right path.

Over the last 15 months, we’ve had the privilege of mentoring 4,000+ students through UnsaidTalks with the support of incredible industry professionals, incredible Team and Our Advisors.

And now we’re launching our first offline program - building an offline ecosystem for students pursuing the IIT Madras BS Degree in standalone mode. (sot.unsaidtalks.com)

We’re still at Day 1. There’s a very long journey ahead.

But yesterday’s conversation reminded me of one thing:
Sometimes, it’s worth taking a pause… not to celebrate how far you’ve reached, but to appreciate that you’re finally walking on the road you once only dreamed about.
