Your startup never outperforms you

2025 has been one of the most magical years of my life yet! The year wherein so many dots from last 7 years got connected in a magical way!

Steve jobs said it right, “In life, the dots are connected looking backwards and not forward”

Probably I will someday write another detailed post about all such magical connection of dots that enabled UnsaidTalks.com to reach where it is today!

But for today, I want to share one important self reflection. I was wondering what is it that didn’t allow UnsaidTalks build back in 2018 / 2019 to reach the stage where it reached this year. Well, the reason was simply “me”. I realised that the startup is essentially extension of the founder. Your startup is essentially a mirror which reflects your blind spots, strengths, weaknesses.

We think we are building business but essentially we are building ourselves. We are confronted with next version of us! And if this version doesn’t evolve fast then we become the bottleneck.
